In Cherry class, we aim to create a happy, creative, challenging and stimulating learning environment. In Cherry class, the children are encouraged to take risks, but also understand that making mistakes is a key part of the learning process. We like to call these ‘trips’ because it gives us a teaching moment. By creating a kind, caring environment the children develop a long-term love of learning that will stay with them into upper key stage 2.

Times table Test

Year 4 times tables test: The government has introduced a times table statutory test for year 4 pupils. This test will take place in the summer term. At school, we are continually striving to improve our children’s recall of their multiplication facts, but practise is the key to success. Therefore, we ask, that as much as possible, you find opportunities to practice the rapid recall of these facts. There are lots of fun ways to learn times tables and songs are often very memorable.
