At St Anne’s we encourage all of our children to become young leaders contributing to the school’s continuous development and to take responsibility for their own learning. Our children will become our future leaders in the workplace, in our communities and in their families and so we believe it is important to teach our children what it takes to be a good leader.
Each of our Year Groups have an area which they lead and promote all year round. At the beginning of every academic year the whole class will set out an action plan with clear outcomes and how they will achieve these.
By leading these areas, we are aiming for our children to;
- To learn more about themselves and others.
- To give all children opportunity to recognise leadership skills in themselves and other people.
- To develop new skills.
- To learn more about relationships with your peer group, other children and adults.
- To encourage co-operation, teamwork, self-confidence, independence and communication
