We have a very close partnership with our local church, St. Anne’s, which is just up the road from us on St. Ann’s Hill.
All children have the opportunity to visit the church throughout the year and we celebrate Harvest, Christmas and Easter with special services that parents, and carers are warmly encouraged to attend with us.
The church also helps provides a space in which we have Godly Play sessions. Godly Play is a Christian movement that uses a creative and imaginative approach to help children explore their spirituality and develop a relationship with God:
- Space – Godly Play creates a sacred space for children to wonder, discern their own responses, and experience spiritual growth.
- Process – Godly Play promotes a lifelong Christian learning model and values process, openness, discovery, community, and relationships.
- Storytelling – Godly Play presents stories of faith, and then gives children the opportunity to engage with the stories on their own terms.
- Christian language Godly Play uses Christian language to support spiritual formation.
