Hi Oak Class,

Happy Friday! I hope you all had a nice week and got to enjoy the sunshine! 🌞

Next week is half term so here are some fun activities for you to complete over the week.

Reception half term activities

I would love to see what you get up to! Send photos of anything you complete to admin@st-annes.wandsworth.sch.uk with Oak in the subject line.

P4C- Here is next week’s P4C thinking time activity.

Watch the Video-Farmer Plants the Seeds.

Talking Points

  • Have you ever planted a seed or grown a plant?
  • When do farmers plant seeds, and what would happen if they forgot?
  • Are there right times for doing most things?

Fun Activity

  • Draw a picture with 3 parts: planting a seed, shoots showing, and the final product.
  • Sing the song together, and see if you can learn the words as well as the tune.

Well done to all the Busy Bees who have sent me work this week. Some awards are on their way to you!

Emily has enjoyed our story ‘The Magic Porridge Pot’ and has made some porridge of her own. Emily likes to add brown sugar to her porridge and decided to have it outside in the sunshine. It looks delicious! She even created her own magic pot like the one in the story. Great work Emily  👍

Adrian has been taking such good care of his plants at home and is very excited to see his cucumbers growing. Look how tall they are! He is still patiently waiting for his sunflower stem to appear! Well done Adrian for doing such a good job 👍

Olivia has been doing lots of reading at home. Has anyone else been taking part in the reading challenge? She also watched our P4C video- Can art be anything? She wrote about why she likes art and created an amazing picture of her family. Olivia loves to help out in the kitchen making lots of different recipes. Great work Olivia 👍

Don’t forget to tune into Mrs Stewards amazing story time on Facebook Live @6pm. This evenings story is one we are all familiar with in Oak class so you can all join in and read along. Find them on St Anne’s Facebook Page

Eid Mubarak to all of our St Anne’s family who have been observing Ramadan this month.

I hope you all have a wonderful half term Oaks and enjoy the fun activities! I am looking forward to seeing what you all get up to. Take care and stay safe,

Miss Hoban 🙂
