Happy Friday everyone,
We’ve had some very interesting lessons this week . On Wednesday, the children had a creative session with our new set of class iPads . We discussed our new remote learning platform, Seesaw, and explored creative ways to share our ideas and hard work. Today, we even had a remote learning tutorial session for maths and English. The children are now set for any eventuality and are confident with accessing learning online.
We have also had a great time learning about electricity this week, creating circuits and conducting experiments to explore the effects of voltage.
A huge well done to Nour and Oliver; who both received merits this week. Oliver received for his merit for his mature and insightful contributions to our ‘Black History Month’ Pupil led collective worship and Nour was awarded her merit for her consistent effort and focus in all of her lessons. Well done to you both.
Leyla was also celebrated this week for showing courage and improved confidence when performing her lines in our pupil led collective worship. She made us all very proud.
A big ‘well done’ to Louis; who is the first member of Elm to receive a Bronze award in the KS2 reading challenge this year! Keep it up Louis.
Remember, homework this week has been set via Seesaw. Instructions for how to log on, along with your text code is in the homework folders.
Have a great weekend 🙂
